Conventional Wisdom

Like a significant portion of Animazement’s attendees, I came along after the “old days” of anime fandom had drawn to a close (even if I DO come a lot closer than a lot of these kids). Thus, I found this panel to be a really interesting idea. And no, it WASN’T a long string of “when I was your age” anecdotes.

(Historical Note: What’s sad is, over the passage of time, everything I grew up knowing as “current” anime has been absorbed into “the old days,” so most kids these days won’t even realize there was ever a distinction.  Some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth.)
