Conventional Wisdom

Man, it’s been a while since Scribbles actually filled time with one of THESE types of things, hasn’t it?  Yeah, recent ConCONcon comics knd of sort of brought the surrealism, but those all had at least SOME level of satire or meta-humor to them.  I think it was all the way back in 2018 that I last used Scribbles in his original, intended purpose of literally just filling space because I couldn’t think of anything better.  Remember, this character dates back to when I was doing comics every couple of days in college.  Sometimes there just aren’t any funny ideas to come up with after reading Immanuel Kant at 3am.

But you know what the funniest thing is?  I actually wound up getting, like, nine or ten pages penciled in that one sitting.  Writer’s block clearly wasn’t actually a problem, I just felt like tormenting Scribbles again.  Also, I started to say something about challenging people to work out which pages got sketched out during that night and which once I drew afterwards… but then I realized you could just look at the dates of when the pages went online and figure out that the comics with a week or so of time separating them from the last one PROBABLY were drawn from scratch.
