Triad Anime Con 2022 – page 7
Yeah, there really was some kind of young authors thing going on up on the to floor of the convention, where Triad was NOT, but anyone showing up for that had to squeeze past all these hoards of cosplayers who went upstairs anyway for meet-ups and photoshoots right by the front doors. I always feel bad when some other events are double booked with a convention… though I suppose having a bunch of otaku around IS a good object lesson for these kids. See, THIS is what happens if you don’t do well in school and get a real job!
Also, I decided against doing a full comic about this, because somebody somewhere would take it more seriously than I meant it, but the people of Triad were VERY lax about the whole “wearing masks and social distancing” thing… which was hilarious to watch, since the whole convention center was literally COVERED in signs reminding everyone to do just that. Seriously, there were signs every four or five feet with whole paragraphs of text lecturing us all about how not to do what VIRTUALLY EVERY PERSON AT THIS WHOLE CON WAS DOING. That was probably another good lesson for the young author kids.
