These silly drawing aren’t the only way I document my convention experiences. I always take notes of whatever I’m doing and write them up as convention journals. In fact, Conventional Wisdom began as simple visual accompaniment to said journals. Sadly, that arrangement didn’t work because I draw much faster than I write, and the journals usually don’t get finished until LONG after the con is over. Usually this is because I’m just too lazy to start work on them until it’s nearly too late, but this time I have a legitimate excuse: I can’t even find my notes.

I mean, I know they’re HERE. I unpacked the notepad along with everything else Sunday night. Problem is, all that unpacked stuff just kind of sat in a pile in the living room for a while before getting frantically dragged into my room and tossed in a big pile THERE. Somewhere in that process, the pad seems to have turned itself invisible. Crap.

(Historical Notes: I never did manage to find that specific notepad, at least, not before I used that as an excuse to stop doing the written blogs altogether.  I’ve still got all the notepads in an overflowing drawer, though, so I’m sure it wound up in there without realizing it.)
