Conventional Wisdom

Okay, THIS legitimately got me angry.  Not quite angry enough to actively seek out an explanation after the fact (it was a LONG drive home afterwards) but angry enough to draw a stupid cartoon and put it on the internet.  The con’s website clearly said the hotel was offering a special five dollar convention rate for the parking lot, and on Friday that really was what they charged.  Then, all of a sudden, it was twenty bucks on Saturday and Sunday, the same price as a regular full day in that lot.  I did check the convention website and twitter to see if they announced any changes, but never saw any news for the rest of the con.  So either the venue changed the price and the con failed to inform people, or whoever managed the parking lot didn’t tell their people about the special con rate and the con never did anything about it.  Either way, we were not well pleased.
