First off, for anybody just tuning in who has no idea what I’m even talking about: Taka has appeared in these comics many times before.  He totally loves the attention.

The thing is though, I really am just guessing about all this.  I was too busy with the museum and panel stuff to actually go to Opening or Closing Ceremonies, so I technically don’t know for a fact that he was even AT Otakon this year.  I mean, statistically speaking, the answer to that question is USUALLY guaranteed to be “yes,” and it DID look like that crowd out there were a bunch of Japanese guests, so it’d make sense for a translator to be tagging along with them.  I just can’t be sure.  And you know what?  I think that just makes things all the more interesting.

…because it’s not like I could just walk out into the hall and see for myself.  That’d just be weird.  Clearly drawing a webcomic about it and showing it to the whole internet is the more normal course of action.
