I don’t have a lot of convention trip traditions that I actually keep in any meaningful way. I didn’t even gawk at the gas station house this year because we drove in by a different route (patrons know what I’m talking about). But man, hitting up a Five Guys around Fredricksburg or wherever once we’re finally out of DC traffic, that’s been a thing for a long time. And unless I’ve been receiving free table scraps from other congoers over the weekend, it’s also usually the first food I’ve had that I didn’t carry up to the con with me in a cooler in SEVERAL days. That’s meaningful too.
And yeah! That’s all of Otakon 2025 from me! …except for whatever winds up going onto Patreon later in the year. This was an unusual weekend to write comics for, since I spent so much of it hanging around the same room… AND I’M ABOUT TO DO THAT AGAIN! As long as nothing unexpected happens in the next couple of weeks, I should be on museum duty again at Sangawa Project the first weekend in February, so stay tuned for news on how THAT goes!
