I realize that real guitars are more expensive and heavier to carry than props or game controllers, but the end result is just MUCH better. Not to burst that dude’s bubble, though, but this was my brother’s Ibanez, not a Fender.

Now that I think about it, this was an especially musical Otakon. There were a LOT of people carrying guitars around, not to mention the extra high number of musical guests, boomboxes being carrying around, random jams in the halls at all hours, and DJ CutMan taking over a kiosk as his own personal chiptune blasting station Saturday night (the last of which deserved a cartoon of its own, but time didn’t permit it)

(Historical Notes: I think this was the only time I rocked an actual electric guitar for The Bard costume, specifically because I had to borrow it from my brother.  I don’t have anything of my own that isn’t acoustic.  Also, I neglected to mention in this comic how it took the dude three or four tries before I understood what he was talking about.  Not that he was being hard to understand or anything, I’m just incapable of engaging in a conversation I didn’t prepare in advance to participate in.)
