Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: And this, dear friends, is two thirds of the reason I quit going to MAGFest.  Very little to do with the event itself, very much to do with how bad it was getting to try and find a room.  I’m sure this has come up somewhere before, and I know for a fact it going to come up again then the MAGFest 2018 comics get re-posted, but it gets VERY hard to attend anything like a 24 con in a place like the National Harbor if the handful of hotels are sold out.  And they sold out FAST.  Every single year, the Internet became a darker and darker place the more people tried to scramble for rooms literally the very second they became available.  Stuff like this is why my use of social media these days is strictly one-way.  I already have too much of other people’s rage in my life as it is.)
