Well, it’s that time again! Back down to the land of my birth for my southernmost con of the year! …and since this con is mere weeks before Anime USA, I’m really desperately HOPING that I’ll be getting the majority of these comics drawn during the con itself, and thus online mere days after I get back. Otherwise, whooboy, that’ll be a stressful couple of weeks. But yeah, there’ll be a batch of AWA comics up here in around a week so, keep an eye out on Twitter, tumblr, and Facebook for updates. AND, don’t forget that there will be a SECOND batch of AWA comics a week later on Patreon! Donating anything, even a dollar a month, will get you access right away, and here’s a public gallery of older Patreon comics if you want to see what you’re getting into before you start pledging money. Enjoy!

(Historical Notes: OOOooookay, time for things to get really weird.  If you’re been reading these re-posts as they’ve gone up… well, you’ve been waiting a while since last time, haven’t you?  Yeah, I had to take an extended break from Conventional Wisdom because, quite frankly, it was getting too depressing.  And then that break got even MORE extended when SmackJeeves finally shut down entirely, which lit a fire under me to FINALLY get Far Out There fully re-posted and updating with new stuff again.  It’s only just now that I’ve gotten enough done with Far Out There that I feel ready to start pumping time and energy back into Conventional Wisdom again… and if you were paying attention earlier, you already know what the main hurdle is now.  Yes, Conventional Wisdom’s old host SmackJeeves completely shut down at the end of 2020 and took all the old posts with it.  Thankfully, I’ve been pretty good about keeping all the comics themselves, so none of that stuff is lost.  Unfortunately, all the original commentary and hover text IS lost.  I’ve checked the Wayback Machine, and Conventional Wisdom has VERY little of its past preserved over there.  I was only able to preserve the commentary for THIS comic because I still had the page open when the site went down.  Thus, for the rest of 2016 up to the end of 2019, you’re gonna have to make do with just Present Me leaving Historical Notes.  And man, I’m VERY unhappy that this happened before I at least made it through the rest of 2016.  If ever there was a year where I really, REALLY needed Past Me to fill in the gaps in my memory, it was this year.  There is SO much that blurs together between the AWA and AUSA trips in particular.  Just read on and see for yourself…)
