Alright, confession time. This is NOT how the Final Fantasy photoshoot actually happened, so don’t get all worked up just yet. Here’s the deal: while there were at least that many FFVIII cosplayers AROUND, we weren’t all TOGETHER like that when the FFVII people got finished. Thus, when the camera guys looked over to where I was standing and decided there wasn’t a FFVIII GROUP, they were technically correct. One or two people standing around in the midst of a crowd does NOT equal a group. Still, given VIII’s sterling reputation, it was hard not to interpret it as a snub, at least for the sake of a joke.
