Conventional Wisdom

You gotta understand that the multi-leveled Convention Center is directly underneath the many, many floors of hotel AND shares the same set of elevators. The result, it takes FOREVER to even get an elevator, never mind the indignities of one showing up too full to get in or just wizzing past your floor because it already hit the weight limit.

(Historical Note: There are certain ways in which staying at the convention hotel is a lot more convenient than any other option.  CERTAIN ways.  Also, this is a page that DESPERATELY wishes I was doing more photo backgrounds and copy/paste tricks to straighten everything out.  And also, speaking of straightening, you can really see why I stopped drawing panels by hand.  The sloppiness is SO much worse when there’s more than one or two frames to see at a time.)
