Oh man, you have NO idea the crap I had to go through to get this page online. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, my computer’s finally shot (you’ll know if it’s fixable as soon as I do) but my roommate’s graciously offered to let me use his… except his is so new that it can’t use my scanner (seriously, there just isn’t a driver for Windows 7) So THEN I had to go over to his school to scan the comic there (which was against SEVERAL rules) and discovered that the computer there wouldn’t recognize my flash drive, so I ended up having to e-mail the scan to myself (and let’s not even get into how I didn’t recognize any of the scanning applications they had)

…so, yeah. I won’t even apologize for how sloppy the art is this week, I’m just glad it’s actually up.

But yeah, me and a bunch of friends got to see the big 4th of July concert right on the front lawn of the capitol. It was probably the best seats we could get without paying a hundred bucks, we were RIGHT underneath the podium thing. Very cool (even if we did have to sit around outside for six hours)

(Historical Notes: First off, I tried to clean the image up as best I could, but due to all the confusion over getting this thing made, I apparently never actually saved the original scan.  All I had to work with was the SmackJeeves copy.  Second, Past Me painted a very rosy picture of the concert experience.  We might have had a great view of the concert, but once the fireworks started, we discovered that we couldn’t see CRAP from The Capitol.  All the smart people had skipped the show and camped out in other parts of town to get a clear view.  Finally, I feel like these days I do the exact opposite of this picture: wandering around a convention full of Japanese pop culture while listening to American music, probably smooth jazz or something equally un-hip.)
