Conventional Wisdom

Well, after all the drama and whining and frantic call on friends for help, my computer SEEMS to be up and running properly again. Granted, I’m still having to set a whole MESS of things back up again… and I’ve discovered to my immense displeasure that I left the disks for MangaStudio back in North Carolina, which won’t be fun to deal with…

But the important thing is, I’m doing this update on MY COMPUTER AGAIN!

…AND JUST IN TIME TO BE FREAKING OUT THAT OTAKON IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!

(Historical Notes: I think I downplayed the exact identity of what school this was to avoid getting my roommate in trouble for letting me in.  In retrospect, though, it feels like a missed opportunity to brag that this was right next to the house from The Excorcist.  Those giant stairs Father Karras fell down at the end ran right down the side of the building we were in.  There’s totally an exorcism joke to be made about the computer problems happening here, and I’m sure Yoink is furious that I didn’t take advantage of it.)
