So, some background: at Closing Ceremonies at Animazement, I was talking to one of the 3,487,458 folks I know from cons about cosplay ideas. This guy’s good with big, full-body costumes (if you’ve ever seen a giant GIR at an east coast con, it’s probably him) and he was thinking about making a Kirby costume. The idea then hit that, if one DID make a Kirby costume, one could ALSO make accessories for said costume to make it look like he’d swallowed some other anime character and taken their powers. TAA DAA! Comic! I started to do some sort of framing device, probably with Yoink introducing, but I think it stands on its own.

I tried to stick to well known characters, but I’ve found that what’s well known to one person can be totally unknown to another, so here’s a breakdown of where each of these characters is from:

Urahara – Bleach

Goku – Dragon Ball

Luffy – One Piece

Chiyo – Azumanga Daioh

L – Death Note

Sakura – Card Captor Sakura

Kenshiro – Fist of the North Star

Konata – Lucky Star

Tai – Digimon

Okay, really I just figured that most of you young pups wouldn’t know what Fist of the North Star is. Get on Hulu and find out, ya punks.

(Historical Note: I could make a crack about certain shows not being as popular now as they were when I drew this, but I’m more fixated on the crack about Hulu.  Remember when Hulu as a thing you could watch for free, kids?  Meh, whatever.  FIst of the North Star is on Crunchyroll now anyway.)
