Katsucon still hasn’t quite figured out how to make use of the simultaneously massive and unwieldy space that is the Gaylord. For all the huge rooms they offer, actually finding places for crowds to walk in is apparently difficult. Example: once you got into the sprawling Dealer’s Room/Artist Alley, the only way to get OUT was to walk all the way to the back, find a disturbingly small door in the back corner, walk BACK through where the dance was held AND the Game Room, and there you were. No, it was not convenient.

(Historical Notes: Really, this tends to be a problem with most conventions.  Any other time, an event using a room as big as the ones a good Dealer’s Room needs to be in WANTS multiple exits.  Stuff like anime conventions, with their need to funnel everyone through a single point for both badge checks and to control crowd flow, are the odd exceptions.  Doesn’t make it any weirder to have to walk back so many doors to find the one you’re actually allowed to use.)
