Sangawa Project 2026 – page 6
Okay, in my own defense, we were ACTUALLY out about town every day on basic supply runs. I just diverted our route to swing us closer to a building we were passing by anyway. But it’s a whole lot funnier to suggest that I undertaking arctic hikes EXPLICITLY to take a silly Scribbles picture in front of a building sign with a funny name.
Also, while I couldn’t think of a way to get a comic out of this, I do want to acknowledge just how different hiking around Pittsburgh on con business felt from all the (relatively) recent times I’ve gone tricking around Washington DC. I’m just not city folk either way, but it was fascinating to see just how much Pittsburgh actually felt like it has some semblance of personality and spirit as opposed to the utter soulless void that is DC.
Also also, for as cold out as it was, I want to state for the record that I was ALWAYS hot and sweaty and desperate to shed some layers by the time we got back to the hotel. I really am of frost giant lineage.
