…Really? Two Digimon-related pages in as many weeks? I know, I know. What can I say? It’s still one of my favorite shows, and between watching fansubs of Xros Wars and stumbling onto The Egad’s Retrospective on season 02, it’s been on my mind even more than usual.

Besides, this was stupid fun to draw. I must confess to having… well, a “soft spot” is a little strong, but I still find it hard to dislike the whole Liefeldian breed of comics as much as I should. I’m fully aware of how crappy they usually are, and there’s very little about them I actually like (I mean, if you’ve seen a single thing I draw, you know what a premium I place on cuteness) …and yet, I first became aware of comic books when this junk was at it’s peak, so I can’t look at an issue of Youngblood without feeling a warm tinge of nostalgia.

(Historical Notes: I would eventually make a full color version of this comic, and an even nicer version of THAT as a print, which I strongly considered replacing this page with.  There’s plenty of historical reasons why I should leave the original sloppy black-and-white version here, but the ACTUAL reason was just that I haven’t moved the files for the prints over to this computer yet, and I’m too lazy mess with that now.  THIS is how history is preserved, folks.)
