I think this comic has already said everything about itself that I could possibly say here. And no, there was no specific “humorous event” that sparked this train of though. Just a general pondering over whether or not at-work anecdotes would be worth doing at all (I mean, I realize I’m not the first person in history to do comics about conventions, but you DO have to admit it’s been done a lot less than “true stories from work”, especially when work is running food and busing tables)

Instead, let’s talk CONVENTIONS!!! Yep, it’s almost time for more con coverage, and this time we’re going back to familiar territory again: Katsucon! Unlike MAGFest, which officially started on Thursday, Katsucon doesn’t start ’til Friday. Thus, there’ll be one more filler page next Wednesday before the Katsu-cover page goes up over the weekend. So stay tuned!

(Historical Notes: In retrospect, I’m glad I largely avoid doing explicitly “at work” comics because, well, very little I would have written about my time at that restaurant would have been very positive.  But the thing is, the restaurant didn’t suck.  At all.  I can make all kinds of complaints about how badly run any establishment that’d hire ME must be, but the kitchen was top notch, and anybody good enough to hold onto a job back there deserves to mention it on their resume and get hired wherever they want.  As unlikely as it is, I’d hate for my stupid little webcomic to attach any bad connotations to that place’s name and diminish its resume value for anyone who really deserves to benefit from it… and as proof of how good the food was, writing this paragraph just made me hungry.)
