Conventional Wisdom

More and more, I’ve been using my own facial hair for the Dr. Forrester costume. Granted, it’s heavily colored to match the wig (and to make my scraggly face fuzz look bushier) but it’s WAY more comfortable than gluing on a fake ‘stache. The problem is, when I’m OUT of the costume, that same ‘stache makes me looks like somebody’s creepy, alcoholic uncle. Thus, it gets shaved off as soon as I’m done with the costume. And when the next con is too soon after the last one for me to grow the fuzz back… well, that’s when nasty glue ends up on everything.
