(Historical Notes: Writing up new commentary for this one is going to be an extra weird experience, because I honestly don’t remember much of what I actually said the first time around, but I vividly remember the experience of writing it.  I wrestled a lot with how real I wanted to get with the behind the scenes details, because this really was the single most unpleasant convention experience I’ve ever had.  Obviously, I didn’t want to sound too self-pitying over something that was ABSOLUTELY my own fault, but I was also worried about killing the comedy and making things too awkward to enjoy.  But, of course, Present Day Me realizes that the death of joy is my calling in life, so I’m not the least bit worried about that anymore.  However, I AM still a bit worried about keeping track of that I actually said the first time around and what I just thought really hard.)
