Conventional Wisdom

What, you thought I was kidding about the “gets worse” part? Yup, in an effort to get pages done faster, I wrote a few pages with the specific intent of Copy/Paste abuse. For all you aspiring comikers out there, learn from my mistake: it’s NEVER worth it. Aside from the fact that it makes for a really boring page, the extra editing steps actually took MORE time than just drawing the whole thing by hand would have. Just say “No”, kids.

Anyway, aside from the pants bit, this is pretty much exactly how my departure went. I was nearly two hours behind schedule because of how many times I had to turn around and find one more thing I’d forgotten.

(Historical Notes: And that’s another reason why the bus/train/public transport is a bad way to get to a convention. The more you have to cram into a smaller number of containers, the easier it is to lose track of things and forget them.  A decent-sized vehicle lets you spead out your crap JUST enough to keep track of what all’s there and cut down on the number of emergency turnarounds.  Not sayin’ there won’t be ANY, but there’ll be less.)
