Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: Okay, I’m all but certain that the original commentary for this page was all about slipping links back to these two pages from AZ 2010, to drive up page traffic and all that.  And you should totally click on the links for that exact reason!  Go ahead!  DO IT!  But yeah, I very often tell people that I don’t go to cons for fun anymore, it’s all about comic work.  I know that sounds boring to a lot of people, but situations like this one demonstrate why I think that’s a totally healthy way to think about these things.  If something bad happens, I don’t even process it as something happening to me, it’s just more material to work with and make something fun out of.  I think that’s a much more positive way to go through life, ya know?)
