Animazement 2026 – page 4
When I spend money at conventions, it’s NEVER on trivial things like “food and water” or “having a comfortable place to sleep.”
Interestingly, though, I actually didn’t wind up eating cooler food anywhere near as much as I normally do over these cons. At least part of that was because I was in the Dr. Forrester costume all day Friday, and anything I ate would have had a lot of black mascara all over it from my mustache.
But just in case you think this is all a ploy for sympathy, it actually turned out to be a really good thing I stuck around the convention center. Stay tuned for the next part…

Happy (late) Birthday!

If you were happier eating alone and not limping, that’s your decision. That said, you might have been able to ask for a wheelchair (and a pair of signs saying “Not disabled, just limping & slow, one for your lap & one for the back of the wheelchair).
Nah, this is the sort of thing I normally do anyway, just because I can usually fill a whole cooler up with a weekend’s worth of food for less than what one convention center/city restaurant meal costs.
