Conventional Wisdom

(Historical Notes: This happened pretty much as presented, aside from me not being anywhere near so eloquent in the moment, but I’m not super happy with the comic as is.  I know, what a shocker, right?  Maybe if there weren’t already so many pages just about me, I’d feel different, but looking at the full patch of pages together, this feels too self-congratulatory and repetitive.  It’d have been a lot better if this page were longer, showing multiple conventions from the other dude’s perspective.  That way the page would have been more about the history of the convention and the comic, which is what a tenth anniversary series SHOULD have been.

…but seriously, this wasn’t even the first time I’d heard this from a person.  I do this costume a LOT, and I really do take pride in the recognition.  I just wish I’d written some better comics about it.)
