So, I had stuff for sale in Artists Alley this year, an Animazement first. That’s not to say that I PERSONALLY was in AA that much, but my stuff sure was. Still, I did mind the table in the early hours when nobody else was physically capable of dragging themselves out of bed.
…and you’d THINK there wouldn’t be much business at that early hour, but you’d think wrong. See, there an hour between when the con lets people in and when the Dealer’s Room opens, and apparently some people just HAVE to buy SOMETHING right way.
I do have to say, though, having AA in a separate room (where the Dealer’s Room used to be) instead of in the halls was AWESOME.
(Historical Notes: Oh wow, I’d already forgotten there was even a time when Artist Alley WASN’T down in one of the big rooms. Yeah… I’m glad I dodged the bullet of being upstairs. That seems like it’d have been NOISY.)
