So, the idea is that panelists get to skip the main reg line and pick up their stuff right away. Thing is, that only saves time if you actually know where you need to go right away, which we didn’t. Cue running back and forth in circles. But hey, even at its most convoluted, Otakon has the fastest check-in I’ve ever seen.
(Historical Notes: Honestly, even all this running around wouldn’t have been all that bad if any one of the people we talked to actually knew the whole procedure and could tell it to us all at once. The fact that we had to keep getting a new round of “Oh, actually the next step is over THERE” every time made it seems ten times more of a hassle than it actually was.)
At least we managed to put the statue together in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey without much hassle.
I swear, sometimes I feel like the only representative of my entire generation with no nostalgic connection to Legends of the Hidden Temple. Anybody else would have totally made that into the actual punchline of the comic.
