Conventional Wisdom

This really did happen on the way out of Closing Ceremonies. This lady actually recognized the hat/hair combination, and the fact that I had my cosplay guitar on me didn’t hurt either. For a few seconds there, I felt like a real webernet celebrity!

…now if only I was making some MONEY off all this silliness.

(Historical Notes: You just keep wishing that, Past Me.  Also, I should clarify that this technically wasn’t the first time anyone had ever recognized me from Conventional Wisdom, that had actually happened all the way back at AUSA.  Hi Viga! #1 Fan Confirmed!  However, she recognized my Dr. Forrester costume first, and then kind of pieced together the webcomic connection after remembering that.  Sunday afternoon Otakon 2009 was the first time anybody just recognized ME, out of costume, simply as That Guy From That Webcomic.  A momentous occasion, to be sure, and a fitting way to top off Conventional Wisdom’s first birthday update!)
