Also, I really, really need to hurry up and add a Character Profile page, so that I don’t have to feel weird about comics like this not explaining the mascot gimmick.

(Historical Notes: It’d be tempting to make a “Gosh, remember how that one thing used to be more popular than it is now?” joke here, but I’m more struck by the fact that I even KNEW what memes were popular back then.  These days, I couldn’t BEGIN to tell you what jokes The Kids are beating into the ground.  I don’t regret that blissful ignorance, but it’s still a big difference.)
