It turns out you haven’t cease to have a drinking problem just because all the bars in town were closed.

No, but seriously, the Dealer’s Room was a LOT more impressive this year.  I dunno if somebody different was in charge of deciding who got in, or if some other even burned a bunch of bridges with vendors, or what; but there were WAY more booths at this anime convention that were selling actual ANIME than had been for the previous several years.  And truth be told, I really DIDN’T end up buying all THAT much.  It was just the constant cycle of “Well, I’ve surely looked at everything, time to go back to the museum and- OH WAIT, THOSE PEOPLE ARE SELLING DVDS TOO!” dragging my trip out waaaaay longer than intended.  It really did start to develop “I can quit any time I want!” vibes.
