Yes, I got a Scribbles plushie for my birthday. Additional comments will be held off until the next page, ‘cos you’d better BELIEVE this event demands more than one comic to properly document.
(Historical Notes: Still the single greatest fan gift I have ever or will ever receive. This little Scribbles has accompanied me to every single convention I’ve gone to ever since this… and he’s starting to look like it. I keep saying I’m going to learn the art of plushie-making myself so that I can make a new Scribbles. Originally, it was just so I could have one that’s bigger and more on-model, but at this point I just want something else to take on the road with me so the original Scribbles can sit safely at home. He’s already really messy all over, and I’ve had to do several slippy bits of surgery to patch up spots of wear and tear. It’s time to send a younger, sturdier plushie out there to take the punishment instead.)
I’m glad I had a friend who was doing awesome plushie commissions to make him and I feel like how well he’s held up over the years of con travel is a testament to her skills. Not sure if Ashley still does plushies, but I know you can get costume commissions made, she goes by Ukrainekraine on pretty much all social media.
Well, at this point, it really behooves me to learn how to do this sort of thing myself, if only because I can’t really AFFORD to go paying other people every time I have a wacky idea.
