Conventional Wisdom

Okay, I might be SLIGHTLY exaggerating here, just a smidge.  But still, that one disc player that wouldn’t see any remotes anymore wasn’t the only thing that didn’t survive the trip up to DC.  A couple of cables turned out to be busted by the time we started setting everything up, so we weren’t actually able to get all of the exhibits up and running until after we’d scammed some replacements from other corners of the con.  I mean, you would THINK a place like an anime convention would be the one place where spare cables for hooking up machines would be just all over the place… but then you remember that half the people there just watch everything on their phones now.
