Otakon 2023: July 28th – 30th
FINALLY… CONVENTIONAL WISDOM… HAS COME BACK… TO OTAKON!
That’s right! For the first time since… holy crap, 2018. That’s terrifying. But still, Conventional Wisdom returns to the con where it was born! Let’s see if it’ll be worth the frankly PREPOSTEROUS cost and travel time that scared me away from Otakon for so long in the first place!
This won’t mean anything to everybody who only checks the site after the con is over, but for you early birds, I actually AM going to be doing more stuff than just wandering around taking pictures and notes. No, I’m still not back to tabling in Artist Alley yet, but I am going to be pulling panelist duty at Awesomely Bad Japanese Music Videos at 3:45 pm Friday in the AMV Theater, as well as Shoujo Rock Heaven at 8:15pm in Panels 2. And, of course, I still AM going to be wandering around taking pictures and notes in the meantime, so if you see me, be sure to say hi! I’ve got presents!
Oh, and speaking of taking pictures, anybody too impatient to wait for the comics to start comic out can get a more-or-less live feed of my Otakon weekend over on all the usual Conventional Wisdom social medias. However, since the hip and cool thing right now is signing up for even MORE terrible social network plagues than we already had, I’m also going to be posting pictures and observations on Mastodon (“@BlitzTheComicGuy@mastodon.online”) and also Threads (“ConventionalWisdomComic”) …and it shows just how much I care that I can’t be bothered to find out if there’s a way to post direct links to either of those from here.
