MAGFest 2016 – page 13
I’ve been to the Gaylord for… I’m not ever sure how many things at this point, and I’ve NEVER seen a crowd logjam as bad as the TWRP/NSP crowd surging out of the concert hall over to the merch table. Granted, it’s not exactly the hugest hall in the place right there, but still. There was NO moving when all these bodies wedged themselves into that spot all at once.
Also, notice me busting out the otherwise retired Ninja costume just to show off the Ninja Sex Party autographs I got last year. Man, if you think I was grumpy about how hot a lumberjack hat was, you can not BELIEVE how uncomfortable this getup is.
(Also also, I don’t even remember how many Far Out There characters I slipped into this crowd, but I know it’s a lot)
(Historical Notes: …and I wasn’t even TRYING to get to the merch table, I just wanted to head down to the Game Room!)
Getting an autograph from NSP at MAGFest is like getting a room at the Gaylord for MAG. Out of about 2000 people that stood in line, only about 200 people got autographs (with me being one of them). I swear the crowd that didn’t get the autographs had pitchforks.
Also, it took me a while to warm up to TWRP. I did get their autographs on a poster from their 2019 tour with The Protomen.
Yeah, when I got that headband signed the year before, it was actually at a second signing they threw together last-minute because the other one had gotten too swamped. Stuff like this is why I usually don’t bother with autographs.
