Katsucon 2015 – page 7
I’m sure I’ve said this elsewhere, but it bears repeating: The Gaylord is an awesome location, but it’s not very line friendly. I mean, the main halls for the big ballrooms are okay, but the smaller rooms? Whoever designed those sections clearly didn’t anticipate anyone actually standing around in the halls, ‘cos they get congested FAST. If you have more than one event with even a little bit of a line, you immediately have those lines getting all tangled up into a really nerdy Rat King.
(Historical Notes: The best uses of these smaller rooms I’ve seen are either as staffer headquarters or as game rooms/museum displays/stuff that either don’t draw crowds or can be walked into at any point without lining up. Events that involve wait times just don’t seem to work in those halls. And yes, this is yet another reason why panelists would come away from Katsucon feeling like they got the shaft.)
